Why Blog?
here I am, in the third, and prolly smallest, of the three tech revolutions since college.
First, the Apple, then IBM PC. Both hardware & software, but I was in minis and moved to the XT, but not enough as a programmer, at the time. By the time I evolved from mainframe DB, to local PC user guru, to programmer, I was chasing comfy money, not new start ups.
Then testing. Not the career for me, at that time. (Maybe it's better, now?) Berlin wall came down, I went East (around the world? in 80 days? in 160 months?) and settled in Slovakia. Missed dot.com mania and web explosion.
But Iraq WarBlogging has put blogs in the little blue media spotlight, and I'm sure it's a new comm paradigm, not to replace but to add & modify other comm.
And *I* think it's really cool. Even groovy.
Interests
Thinking!, reading, jogging, ultimate frisbee, current events, history & geography -- making the world a better place, primarily through better policies (which work better in practice); like, surprisingly (?) religion. My interest changes are deleted, too!
